I've never read into it that as he is saying that is what God wants, but seems to be Paul's advice to a church that seems to be having some issues with both the men and the women in their church. I agree with Mimi's point. We cannot broadly conclude that women are more easily deceived than men. But is this discussion ever brought up in the broadest terms? Are there pastors delivering sermons on how easily women are deceived, and how men don't need to worry about deception?

If this is a stand alone argument, then it is nearly irrefutable. If we are to infer that women should, on the basis of this argument, be allowed to lead churches, then this is a flawed conclusion.
