Welcome to the many thousands who have read Archibishop Chacour's books! Though you are the not the first, you have made an important discovery, so keep exploring. A simple Google search will reveal that many other Palestinian Christians have been writing similar books describing their peacebuilding journeys, including Mitry Raheb (Lutheran in Bethlehem), Salim Munayir (founder of the Musalaha reconciliation ministry based in Jerusalem,) Naim Ateek (founder of Sabeel based in Jerusalem) and many many others. The stories are there -- just waiting for readers like you to become passionate enough to get involved in the work of nonviolence, peace building and seeking a just peace for both Israeli and Arab residents of "the holy land".<br>John Berg, Lynnwood, WA

I just posted this on another article but I feel compelled to mention it here. Mr. Bieler mentions the stories of the Paletinians. I have just read a moving and important book called 'Blood Brothers' by elias Chacour, a Paelstinian Christian proest who recounts his personal experience of Palestine before, during and after the creation of Israel. He recounts his coming to terms with forgiveness and the actions he took to try and make a difference to all the peoples living in his area. Fr. Chacour has an important story to tell, one that took him on a difficult journey of the heart but ultimately with God's grace, he serves the people of God in all their different faiths.
