Recessions/Depressions are a polite way of stating God's judgment for the sin of war. The panic of 1880 was caused by the reverbatation of the Civil War, the Great Depression (a worldwide event btw) was preceded by the Great War, the recessions of 1950-date are a consequence of WW@, Korea, Vietnam right up to Iraq- a military operation costing trillions of borrowed dollars while the Bush administration gave rebates, refunds and lower tax rates- all while encouraging increased expansion of a retail based economy with it's ensuing low-wage jobs. It's not to hard to see the judgment.

Christ will not return in your lifetime nor in the lifetime of your children or grand children. He is never, ever going to return. Having said that, if he did return, he will chastisse you for all the hatred and bitterness so plentiful in your heart that your chest tightens in pain. He will admonish us to be kinder to people of your kind (who see UN helicopters flying around in Oklahoma and FEMA prison camps in Illinois and UN soldiers in Oregon) and ask us to to be generous to you because you are insane. Read Psalm 109:8 and the five verses that follow and insist that it is not hateful. Let's try this: Let Mrs. Law's husband go where from which he never returns. Let her children be orphans. Let her be a widow and all she has repossessed. May no one ever help her orphaned and inflicted children. Read that Psalm again. Substitute your name for the subject in the Psalm. Now, how do you feel?

You, obviously, are the one in denial. If you have a sixth grade reading and comprehension skills or better, you can do your own research and come to an independent conclusion. Here are things to look forward to. We will get health care reform. The reform will lower the deficit. We will pull out of Iraq. The economy is recovering. I don't have enough space to offer you more. But do a little of your own reading. Stay positive. It is good for your health.

Maybe I missed something, but where does NC77 say anything about killing Obama? Call me crazy, but I don't think he suggested that anywhere in his comments.

As for the antichrist, I agree that we are headed in that direction as there is a push for a “new world order” with a one world government. Our nation is certainly headed towards illusions of prosperity and peace under Obama's “hope” and “change” image, and I definitely believe we are closer to Christ's return than we might imagine.

All he is saying is that spending our way out of a recession is bound to fail because you cannot spend your way to prosperity. It's a timeless principal. Even the Bible says that the borrower is a slave to the lender. There are Biblical principals regarding money. Spending what you don't have and wasting money through fraud and misuse certainly isn't going to reap prosperity.

Yes, failure assumes that success is possible. But one's success is not always good or ideal and to hope for failure can indeed be "logical."

I hope my suicidal friend fails in her wish to take her life. A woman desires that her husband fail in his plan to divorce her. A child prays for his father to fail in his success as a Mafia hit man. The Jews longed for Hitler to fail in his exterminations. Sadly, he "succeeded" in reaching many of his goals.

You believe in the benevolence and goodness of Obama. You believe his plans for us are good and righteous. I do not. Clearly, JKC does not. Millions in this nation do not.

Which of us are right? Is Obama a benevolent man with pure intent or is he indeed remaking this nation into a socialist one by disregarding the Constitution? If the later is true, it makes sense that we hope he fails in his pursuits.

The man inherited two wars that has resulted in the deaths of over 5000 soldiers and hundreds of thousands injured; and a bankrupt treasury and a failing economy. Ten months after taking office you want him dead because you think “his policies succeeding COULD very well usher in a false worls peace base on illusions?” because “common sense” led you to that conclusion?
